The versatility of Soban allows it to instantly transform from a work desk to a snack table to an in-bed movie theater. Soban - South Korea’s traditional small tray table - was a perfect multifunctional piece of furniture essential to everyday life. Soban were used in every room in the house, from bedroom to kitchen, from living room to study. It was a tray, desk, and table, all rolled into one, with a lightweight and comfortable design that made it the perfect tool for easy carrying or sturdy support. Everyone in the community, regardless of how rich or poor, used wooden soban, with designs that varied and catered to the characteristics and lifestyle of the specific region. 

While Soban has disappeared from most homes in South Korea, we have taken the original concept, and redesigned Soban to bring the same versatile functionality to our modern lives.
